2017 Vintage

Our first harvest and our first individual wine project.  The time 2017, the place Marlborough, the grape Sauvignon Blanc. Three different low intervention wines that showcase how winemaking styles can alter the way wine tastes.  Harvest 2017 was earlier than usual as a number of cyclones hit New Zealand in early April and picking was dictated around avoiding damage to the grapes cause by this heavy rain.  Handpicked during the day and then processed at the winery over the course of the following night, the 2017 vintage produced wines that have great potential to improve with a few years cellaring, something that is uncommon in Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
